I wonder what the psi is on a road wheel? And how do you change one when it goes flat?

Road wheels have 2 in of solid rubber on them not unlike the flange on the driving wheel of a locomotive. They get replaced when over 50% of the rubber has been ripped of the road wheel. Using a special wrench, you can get the tank's weight to prop up the idler arm holding the road wheel and replace the rubber. The only armored vehicles in the US military with tires are Strykers, Foxes, and LAV-25s (unless you want to count an up armored Humvee as an armored vehicle).

Here’s some in progress pics. The first one is assembled and primed tanks, with some finished tanks (resin, i don’t remember the manufacturer) behind them. I am painting the road wheels and tracks black first, and I will paint the road wheels NATO green and the tracks steel when I’m done with the camo.  This is to keep me from having to daylight the road wheels and paint the edges of them black to represent the rubber sides. The rest are the camo layers, NATO green, NATO brown, and NATO black. I will dulcote the tanks, which will darken them slightly, then dry-brush with light grey to bring out the details. I’ll post a better pic of the finished product when I’m done.

who makes the resin kits?

We mastered both the M1 and the M1A1 in resin and had them at the NSE Convention in Salt Lake City in June 2018. We sold everyone - although the MTL ones were due out. At half the price, they make a good second, if you have a long line up. Also, having the M1 does look different.

We patterned both as the 1:144 alternative did not look good on the DoDX 68' cars!

They are not on the website - but would be happy to post them for sale again if there is interest, plus having the decals too.

I don’t know who made the resin kits. The guy who owns the hobby shop near me bought the leftovers from a manufacturer that did them a few years ago. They are great castings. I bought all that he had left and have done a few flatcars with the Nscale kits dodx flats.
