The MTL Abrams is an A2 and has the M256 120mm cannon.
The M256 is a licese prodused Rheinmetall L44.
MTL are pretty close to the original, the most barrel designs online are too thick.
In my opinion is the MTL Abrams the best choice, track aside.

Thanks for the information Mike .. I agree -- the online models do look a bit off on the barrel ....

The first check I do when looking at an STL file online of the M1 family is the suspension. The vast majority feature mirrored road wheels and tracks, which is incorrect. This also applies to Bradleys.

While you're printing them... can you do a handful for a friend, for the exact same reason?

Ed, I have a good number of these that I printed out (for stand-ins) prior to obtaining the M88A1, that I have no use for now, if interested reach out.

Evening -

I have uploaded replacement tracks for the Micro-Trains M1A1 Abrams. There are two options - Thingiverse and Cults3d. The basic set of drop-in replacement tracks can be found here at Thingiverse:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6753099

For those of you who desire to go a little further in your modeling, over at Cults you can find the complete package that includes spare parts, combat ID panels, and a variety of tracks, some of which require modification of the top section of the MTL hull to work. A tool has been included for one of the latter cases.

https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/1-160-n-scale-micro-trains-replacement-tracks-samusi01

M250 grenade launchers (appropriate for USA Abrams, but not USMC tanks) may be found at:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6753052

Editing to add a few images, I think most have been seen already

Left one will represent a track heading to Anniston for refit. Right side shows the rear skirt panel missing.

Generic helicopter view of a pile of them.

Took a few attempts to get things working...

From the Cults pack, showing CIP, spare parts, covered M250 smoke grenade launchers, missing rear skirt.

I've only seen this once but whatever, it got included. Probably en route to Anniston.
