Beautiful cars and scenery Bill! Are those Z couplers body- or truck-mounted?
You did't name it New Lisbon????!!!!!
August 23rd last year is when I got this thing.
After the completion of my 0-6-0, I wanted to have a memento of the 3-1/2 insane years I devoted to that project, so I assembled nearly all the 700 photos together into hard-cover photobooks using Shutterfly, using only the original high-res photos, redoing the embedded text (since I only put that into photos I post at lo-res on-line). I also added additional text to make them into complete books that tell the "story". I had to do it in 2 volumes, because Shutterfly can only handle up to 110 pages in a hard-bound photo book.It may not be the cheapest way to do this, but they did a magnificent job. The print, color, and cover came out beautifully, and the pages are heavy photo card stock. And it's a lay-flat binding on 11" wide pages. I waited until they had some 50% off sales, and still, it cost me about $240 to get these two books printed. But I don't regret it after all the time I put into this model. I was also able to put these books on the table at the model contest in Kansas City as supporting documentation.Below are some sample photos of how the pages came out. (I just plopped the books on the floor and took some photos of the pages). Now, they have sent me an amazing discount offer, so I could print a pair of the books for less than half what it originally cost me (about $110).The images below should be clickable to see larger views of them. But for some odd reason, I have to click themtwice to get it to work.
Your model is priceless and the book is really, really good! Well worth the price you paid.I also noticed that I have to click on the images twice to get them to load full size (and not just in your post). When you layout the book out how do you make sure the images don't come out too dark or light when printed? I have hard time doing that printing photos on my home printer hooked up to my PC. The look good on the screen but usually come out too dark on the printer. If I was spending fre hundred dollars, I would want to make sure the photos come out looking good.
