Excellent photograph, and very deserving of a cover placement - congratulations.

The Jordan Spreader article will be of interest to me too.

Excellent Doug!  Congratulations!
BTW, the first car in that train, is that the RAILWIRE EXPRESS AGENCY car by a chance?  That would be too funny!

Unfortunately not.  That car passed through my layout in short time before being forwarded.

My issue just came today, a great cover shot, Doug! I love the gentle curve, and the head on composition.
I'd be interested in info on how the shot was made, and with what. Did you use focus stacking to get the depth?

The associated article on head end business is also terrific, congratulations. This is an area not very often modeled in N scale, people seem to go for the glamour trains, as do manufacturers, whereas secondary mail and express trains were a huge part of railroading at the time. Nicely done, sir!

I was checking the side of every B60 in the article to see if Jim slipped in there.

I very much enjoyed your article, @dougnelson !

Thanks for the comments. The cover photo and several of the photos in the article are shot with an iPhone 6 with several images stacked and processed with Helicon Focus.

It's a great article. Nicely done Doug. Also kudos for the article in Feb 2018 RMC on the X42. I sent you a PM some time ago about that one. Always good to see your modeling !

Thanks for the mention Ike. I’m guessing you still want me to build you that BN spreader!
