No pressure.  They're 100% operational, so whatever amount of scenery gets done, gets done.

As long as you keep SLC2019 on the calendar.  I believe the latest tally is ~125 module sets planning to make it!
How many boosters are you guys going to need? What is the FreemoN track height standard?

I abandoned another building.

The "aged plywood" is superbly modeled - very realistic!

I don’t know what the booster requirement will be. I may bring a spare with, especially as I’ll have almost 80’ of layout coming with me and I want to make sure it is powered.

The height standard is a 50” top of rail height off the floor.

I imagine we'll try to use at least one booster per group, if not more.  Perhaps major yards/junctions will get an additional booster.  But that planning is a long way out yet.

I finally sat down and finished a video from the N Scale Convention while the trees dried.

I am trying to make some progress on the Nelson diesel house model at the cottage but maintenance and "vacation" stuff just keeps getting in the way!

Roof segments have been assembled and vents temporarily installed

The supports for the elevated walkways are painted primer gray save for the lowest 4' which is flat black.  I assembled and successfully tested the paint jig for the walkway supports.

Similarly I assembled and tested the pillar alignment jig which will be needed to assure all 250+ pairs of pillars used to carry the rails are aligned and parallel.

Have a great weekend (a long one for us Canadians!)

Was the cab forward sound-equipped? Couldn't hear anything over the soundtrack.

I agree.  That really stood out and made this model "pop"

@David K. Smith - Any particular tricks / tips or techniques on how you did this?

I decided to finish up UP 7964 this weekend. It has been sitting disassembled in a box for over a year and I figured it was time to put it back together. It's just a stock FVM with the usual details and a little weathering on the vents.

Starting to look alive I think.

I don't think I'll get the corn 'planted'.   It still needs to be painted more realistic, and I have to figure out how to curve the rows.  I have one destructive idea, but I think I'll wait until there's no time crunch before experimenting.  In the mean time, I'll get the two other modules covered, and finish up with trees.

Finished driving the rest of the 250 piles for the wharf and stained them. Next will be cutting to the proper height and getting all of the bent caps and braces cut, stained and installed.

Installed & wired 5 Tortoises under the yard this week.  Why is it that close to 40% of all my Tortoise installs involve under-the-layout clearance issues, no matter how much I try an plan ahead?
