And an E7.Jason
The Hill Lines votes got split between the EB and the NCL. Then the undivided NYC guys win the voting and Kato announces a 20th Century. Man, if people don't buy the east coast train again (nightmares of the Broadway Limited) and Kato gets gun shy about big name trains again, it could be another 10 years before we're back in the running for an NCL or real EB.Say it ain't so!
I still feel that the Broadway Limited was a victim of the economy taking a massive dump just in time for it to arrive in stores. Not being flashy and timing really worked against it.
I think this is absolutely correct. I also think Kato is smart enough to understand this as well. Nobody was buying nothing in 2008. I bought the first release Broadway cars and E8's via advance reservation with BLW. BLW was always very timely, so when I got mine in October and November 2008, that had to be when they first came out. Could Kato have had any worse luck on timing? I think not.....
While I am not an east coast fan and don’t care for the NYC I will still buy a set to promote the sales of the car set and E7’s.
