Working on items for the upcoming AT&SF convention in Chicago next month.  Stripped, repainted, decaled, swapped out wheels, and changed the couplers to body-mount MT 1015's on this full dome for my 1954 El Capitan.

You may recall the disaster that befell the Sub because of a leaky valve in the kitchen above (disregard the fact that the total insurance settlement went to nearly 50k) and caused some scenery damage - here's a shot to refresh your memory:

Making lemonade from lemons, here's what I've come up with:

And a couple of closer shots from either end:

I'm pleased with the progress so far; the road is based on the one that crosses the real thing near Keene, and thanks to Google's street view I can capture the details nicely.

I spent Wednesday night listening to @Ed Kapuscinski and @CodyO spitballing about new layouts while watching ridiculously slow steamers run in bulletproof track:

If these are N scale, then you have done *VERY* well!!  (Yes, I know they are N).  :D
What diameter are those whiskers/antennas/static-discharge wicks (?) on the roof?

I think they're antennas for the Remote Control equipment (not 100% sure). I just measured one and they're approximately 0.0015" because its actually tiny strands of hair haha.

This is seriously one of my favorite spots on your layout. And a teaser for those following the traveling baggage car, it makes a wonderful scene for a Pennsy b60 being pulled by a CB&Q Mikado

NICE!

Taking N scale modeling to the extreme!  I like it!

A bit of progress on the D&H Champlain division today. 6 more #6 turnouts were built. 12 more to go.
