Started to work on my Pacific Electric interurbans

I just received a shipment from Canada, a pair of brand new Miniatures by Eric Pacific Electric cars. I now have a Portland 12 interurban and a Hollywood Car suburban…looks like Plaza Japan is going to be getting another order from me.

I am getting closer to having Pacific Electric Express Motor 1445 in revenue. Just like 1124, she needs windows, lights and poles.

Unfortunately, there are no accurately spaced freight motor decals, so I used passenger car lettering.

I have to wonder..Is this the time that a Micro Trains True Scale Coupler has ever been mounted on an N Scale interurban?

Considering that the couplers haven't been available for very long, and N scale interurbans are rare, it probably is.

No, I have 100 North Shore interurbans with TS couplers.

still trying to finish up 1124 and 1445, and I have a  Portland Twelve and a Hollywood Car to build. ..today I received a 500 and a 1000....I need 4 more Tomix chassis and 7 pairs of poles.....I have located a 3D printed source of poles in France....my wife is going to kill me....

3D printed poles can be fragile - make sure to double up on your order!

Just curiosity on my part, but why not use Eric's trolley poles? Granted, no pics, but still listed on the site.

I never knew he made trolley bodies, although I have a bunch of his details and a couple cabs.  Could not find the trolley shells on his website- am I missing something, or did he sell out?

I guess you'll find out how durable they are in handling as opposed to poles made of brass rod.  Are they as fine as the brass ones?

Which is a perfectly good reason.  That is the same explanation I have for why none of the layouts I have built over 50 years had working streetlights.
