Keystone Customs announces two new Pullman underbody superdetailing kits for A/C appliances specifically designed to replace the Micro-Trains underbody.

The kits include all of the components and appliances necessary to create any arrangement under a Micro-Trains Pullman sleeper series 142 00 XXX.  The kit also includes new steps and a draft box collar to remount the original couplers.  Instructions will be mat to inquires to keystonedetails@gmail.com

Credit for the idea resides with @Scott Lupia to base the this N Scale version on the now unavailable Branchline Trains version.

See www.kvmodels.com for Scott's growing list of etched sides for this series of MT car.

The kit is complete with a purchase of a set of Pullman 242 trucks announced earlier.  The original trucks will also work with the kit.

Here are some in-process pictures of the mechanical A/C kit:

1/8 Tungsten welding rod adds some nice rolling mass to the OEM weight and allows adjustability in the MT shell

Adding some components on the sliding rail system following the Branchline plans and the drive system:

All of the appliances in place on the sliding rail system:

Steps trap the MT 1015 coupler in place when the underbody is installed.  Couplers are removable for service when the underbody is popped out:

Painted underbody sans trucks:

Completed kit (trucks not included) installed into MT shell.  Kit uses the original slots in the underbody to press into.  Image also shows added #12 lead shot for additional weight:

I am obviously having a sultry affair with these new parts since I am in deep with Pullman sides.  My latest car "Park Summit" which is a Nickel Plate Road 14 section plan 3958 sleeper uses the Keystone Details Mechanical AC underframe.  My wife is starting to both get jealous and worry about me.

Be still my heart!

Are those sides available someplace, or did you kitbash?  Either way it's a beauty!

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

They are car sides made by KV Models to fit the MicroTrains heavyweights.  The sides will be available very soon since I am still testing them out.  This car passed the test.

Plan 3958.... OK, repeat after me....

Build layout before starting more passenger car projects....

This will never work, but at least I am trying.

Very nice John, I may need to get some :D
On another matter, would you consider doing a Harriman roof to help me turn this into that?

Nice parts - have emailed an inquiry regarding their suitability for an upcoming scratch-build project.
