Small grain bin

Does anybody know of a commercial model of a small grain bin like this one? Rix produces a bin that is 24' in diameter and 30' high, with the corrugations running horizontal, but that is too large for my requirements. This one appears to be a lot smaller - perhaps 15' or 18'diameter, and the corrugations are vertical.

Before I start to scratch-build something, I thought I'd ask here.

There are some smaller grain bins on Shapeways; a search for N scale structures or industrial items should get you to them.  If there is nothing suitable there, this would be a good candidate for 3D printing if you can find someone to do the artwork for you.

Thanks Tim. I should have mentioned that I had already searched Shapeways. The best option I could find is a Z scale "corn silo" that scales out (in N scale) at 20.4' wide by 27.6' high. That's a little smaller than the Rix's silo, and the ribs are still horizontal. It's also a lot more expensive, but comes with more detail.

The smallest N scale bins that I'm aware of are Imex's cast resin "Sukup" bins (1.5" diameter). Unfortunately, the corrugation is horizontal.

Many of the old round galvanized livestock watering troughs were made with vertical corrugations.  You might try looking to see if there are any HO scale (or larger) livestock troughs that could be stacked on top of each other to make a grain bin.

If all else fails, corrugated aluminum siding wrapped around a core would be easy enough.  It doesn't work well for the larger horizontal-corrugation styles, but for this would be easy to do.

Thanks Carter. I haven't actually seen any water troughs like those you mention, but I will keep an eye open for them (as "plan B", perhaps.)

Another thought:  Many medicine containers have lids with vertical corrugations.  Perhaps you could find the right sized lids, stack several on top of each other to get the effect you want.  One could possibly wrap the stacked lids with a layer of foil and gently squeeze to get the "right" appearance for the corrugations.
