Wow, @Lemosteam way to make things right!!  I appreciate it very much.

E. J.

@cbroughton67 , Nope, nope nope.

Anyone that bought some of these please contact me at http://www.keystonedetails.com/contact-us/ to provide mailing information for replacements after Chris and I work out the changes.

I am fully committed to my designs, so please contact me to make this right. I have no qualms about direct ship from Shapeways to you for the replacements.

Also, please monitor your Shapeways accounts as I may try to contact you there as well.  Thanks for your support.

I got @Lemosteam 's replacement enclosure yesterday, and it's one small tweak away from being on-the-money! The upper chamber was about 2mm too long, so I cut it down and covered the end with some 0.020" x 0.080" styrene strip. With the chassis and rear light tube mods, it fits like a glove, and I was able to complete the install this evening. I can't wait to get second loco completed and the correct sound files loaded next!

Thanks again for all your time and effort to make this enclosure, John!

@cbroughton67

Hi Chris.

Did you end up going with the 9x16mm speaker?  It looks like it from the photo . . .

Yes, @jdcolombo , the enclosure fits an SBS or a Soberton 9x16 speaker.  The design is corrected and ready to go.

This individuals whom have ordered previously have been notified that I have reordered their replacement enclosure quantities and these will be direct shipped to the respective customers.

I appreciate everyone's patience and @cbroughton67 's diligence in providing design feedback.

Here is a link to the corrected enclosure:

Great work Chris and John. Always cool to have “inspired” something.

Chris, looks like you added ditch lights up front, too.

John, is there a version for the 8x12 speaker, too?

I just marvel at how far we've come with 3D printer technology.  Someone makes a functional prototype of something, and a couple of days later John LeMerise has a production version popping out of a 3D printer.

It's pretty mind-boggling when you sit and think about it.

It's a locomotive I detailed and ditch-lighted several years ago, and it's just now getting sound. The 73100 board's "aux 1" and "aux 2" pads are too small to be practical, so I just wired them in with the headlight.

The 9x16 speaker is a squeeze, but it fits, and it sounds great. I so appreciate @Lemosteam 's willingness to design it!

But the Aux3/4 pads are good sized. Aux1/2, with the 0402 SMD LEDs are almost useless. I did try unsoldering them, once. Didn’t destroy anything, but don’t want to try again.
