SW900 Class lights?

The CGW had a SC switcher #5 that was rebuilt into a SW900.  I've never paid much attention to it as it didn't fit into my modeling plans.  A photo showed up recently on E-Bay of the locomotive in CNW paint and I noticed something weird on the roof.  This unit has Class lights applied to the roof and the hood (this shows while still in CGW paint).

Any other roads have this?

I'm also trying to find out when that headlight was applied as all my CGW shots are from the front.  The studs for the old light are still there so I"m guessing this was a CNW thing.

Looks like there are class lights bugging out at the front corners as well.

The internet says it started as a SC #5 and was rebuilt into a SW9.

This is it now:

Looks like it also has a high (for such a unit) capacity fuel tank, with the lower "wings" wrapping around the air tanks. Class lights and MU equipment would allow this unit to be used as a road switcher, for short local jobs outside the yard.

It looks like EMD threw all the upgrades on this unit for some reason.  The CGW certainly didn't order it this way.  I'm even seeing step lights too? I'll have to check if those are on the other pictures still in CGW paint.

I'm going to have to ask the old CGW hands about this.

That is one weird switcher!

Those SCs are odd to begin with, and that one's full of additional weirdness.

Neat.
