Everon Railways is working on a Dunmore as well. I just figured I could make my own as he was more into modeling the EL.

Why would you need a caboose to pair with a PA1?

Towards the end they used PA1s for freight.

Is there anything RTR that would be a proper (or close) mating caboose for an Erie PA-1 and/ or FA-1 powered train?

I don't claim to know much about the Erie, but why would one need a caboose behind the PA's, in essence a Passenger  locomotive (as opposed to the FA, a Freight loco)? Or did they get relegated for use in freight service like on some other roads later in their careers? Erie fast freight? (I do know the GFX fast SFRD fruit trains off the Santa Fe were routed East of Chicago via the Erie).
Fun stuff,
Otto K.

PS: oh, never mind, someone beat me to it

Should I do it or just trucks?

It all depends on how much of my $$$ you want.   :D
I can send you the HO resin model if you like. No known drawings that I know of.

They came riveted first and then welded. I'd like rivets more than welds (damn tripple etching again)

Erie, EL, and Conrail used them. They later had grills over the windows. I'm sure you could sell a bunch.

And small enough not to warp or shrink  ;)

Thanks Paul, that's the images I saw. I couldn't remember where I saw them.
And that's why I couldn't find them on Shapeways, they are cast.

Ah, I remember his post last year now.

I won't step on his toes then

@Everon Railways hows the Dunmore project coming?  Asking for a friend....  LOL.

I know these are going to be EL, but were they legacy Erie cars?

I need a caboose for both FA's and PA's.  I had found plenty of reference to PA's seeing freight service in their lives and even some FA's seeing some passenger service but all of those references never said which caboose, what scheme, how many rivets held the tissue dispenser, and all of the necessaries. ;)  For now it seems I should be looking for the Atlas as an RTR knowing that some day I should break out the hammers, chisels, and paint rollers. 8)

C301-C350 were originally built for the Erie by International in 1953.

The window arrangement and the trucks are different from what Bluford shows for the EL cars.
The Bluford trucks would be a closer match to those on the later EL C351-C370 cars.
