ZZ isn't really regarded as a legitimate scale. There are only a very few items made by one company. Basically a novelty toy.

That is what they said about T scale until serious modelers like you got involved in it and modelers like Mark started hand-laying turnouts!  T has come a long way baby!  :D

Yes, this is a tongue-in-cheek comment. ZZ really is a novelty scale at this point in time.

I wonder when ESU will be making some loksound “super sub micro” select decoders for T scale, also a fraction too wide to fit in a long hood diesel.  :D

OK, so ZZ is a recognized scale, if not widely used or available.  I was thinking "ZZ" should be half of Z, so 1:440.

ZZ would be almost exactly 30 inches in 1:160.  I don't know what they make, but even if all they have are bullet train models, one might be able to build a powered baggage car in Nn30 to push a steam loco.

That is pretty much what T scale is.

Yes and no. T at least has multiple manufacturers involved, and there's been a modest amount of modeling done. ZZ is just one product, and no evidence of any genuine modeling activity.

I was talking about the T's scale in reply to "I was thinking "ZZ" should be half of Z, so 1:440."

Lets get back to the important questions. Truck side frames? How did you do the handrails??
