Lately there has been 2 instances where the Mods have done ,

1 Deleted posts and no comment as to exactly why . Donation Thread .

2 Vacated thread , and no comment as to why . Amtrak crash .

Is this the new normal ?

I was part of both threads and I wonder if MY post was out of bounds to the point of pull the trigger .

Don't know about 1 but I think 2 was just three threads getting merged into one.

On point 2, I did indeed merge the crash threads this morning.

On point 1, I deleted 4 posts from the Donation thread because the argument therein was detracting from the charitable nature of that thread.

For several reasons:

-Sometimes I only have enough time to address something and no additional time to explain it.
-Sometimes I'm on a mobile device and feel like only doing the minimum work required.
