Atlas S2 sound effect driving me crazy

Joetrain59, are you sure this S2 has a decoder in it? Sounds to me just like what you would here if it was a DC version engine. Just saying.

Apparently I had a senior moment. Grabbed wrong S2. Just put right S2(Gold Series) on prog. track. Things good so far.
 I'll just back out of the room quietly now.

I have noticed that I also use this excuse with increasing frequency.

I would like to attempt to adjust the low end/start speed, slow the bell down, and maybe choose a different horn. But not right now. Going to check out those JMRI links first.
