Jan - March 2018: Industrial Building

Welcome to the first Railwire Challenge of 2018! This challenge is to model an industrial building.

Rules/Guidelines:

1. Start your own build thread, like we do in the Engineering Reports board.
2. Any scale is allowed.
3. You gotta start now and post progress photos. No previously-built models allowed.
4. Feel free to comment and ask questions.  The goal here is to learn, not to "win"!
5. Voting will start March 12 and last until March 18.
6. Everyone has the opportunity to enter (even Mods!).
7. The winner is the person with the most votes.

Winner's Prize:

Like before, these challenges are sponsored by Chuck at Feather River.  This time the winner receives a $50 gift card to Feather River Trains.

Have fun and good luck!

I calculated that I will need about 5 actual feet of concrete block material. Order placed today with Monster Modelworks! Game on!

Best wishes,
Dave
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

So is the contest just a stand alone building without scenery or any track modeled?

Okay, so when you say "Start Now" and we can't use a previously built project, how about one that's been started, and has moved along at a snail's pace, and is still quite a few steps away from being finished?

This might be just the kick in the pants I need to get this building finished...

For the record, I first started working on the mock up for it back in late November.  Would I be bending the rules too much if I started an entry with a little head start?

I nominate MoW equipment for the second quarter modeling challenge.  I have a hankerin’ to do RGS outfit car 0260, a converted Jackson and Sharp narrow gauge coach.
