Overall they look good, but I also see something on those shells, but I'm not going to say anything until I have my models in-hand (or until someone else mentions it). I really have to wean myself of trying to compare these to ones from other manufacturers. Bad Peter, bad! The early shots of the Turbo Train look wonderful. That's better, no?
The seams on the acess panel doors seem a bit 'wooden reefer'ish.. but maybe its the light.. or angle, or that will smooth out with paint.. looks great but that is what stands to to me.. ~Ian

So are you comparing them to the Bachmann model? I think it looks better than the Bachmann model.. ~Ian
Yes, it looks superb when compared to Bachmann. I hope that this doesn't make me look like a Bachmann-basher.
Another photo from the factory. This tooling vendor is very good. (Attachment Link)
Jason - I always appreciate your factory shots.
These things are supposed to be whizzing around your layout at 1970's N loco speeds -- who's going to notice details?I am patiently waiting for somebody to make a DCC-ready or DCC-equipped FA1.
The factory sent a video of the Turbo in action. It's smooth - but the interior lights are so bright I think you can see it from the International Space Station.I asked them to add some resistors before sending the samples and the response was "You do it. We already sent to Bill." Like he has time to solder resistors into PCBs the week before Springfield. If you are at the Big E next weekend, just follow the unearthly glow to our booth.-Jason
