There’s an obvious level of passion in your attitude toward the Pennsy that far surpasses “don’t like.” Sometimes I think you’re more passionate about the Pennsy than most SPFs. That said, and at the risk of further feeding the Drasko, I’ll just leave this here, lest you forget what the Santa Fe bought from the Pennsy.
As for the L1s, i was actually about to model a couple of them surprisingly enough! I think the santa fe bought(ill have to check my books) 10 and they actually sat in the dead line(reserve line). If i remember what was written in the iron horses of the Santa fe book, (for gods sakes don't anybody let their panties get in a bunch) the Santa fe wasn't impressed with them, so they got benched. If you're still interested I might be willing to part with my L1s. It's complete with DCC and runs like a champ. Has the traction tire. I built it in pre-war configuration like the photo. You'd just have to put a big ugly silver number on top of the classy Clarendon "PENNSYLVANIA" on the tender.
Thanks Dave but they didn't make it to Cajon. I learned about them when i was modeling everything santa fe. It wad going to be one of those random projects because i had the parts to do it lol. I have on the other hand been thinking about picking up some hon3 stuff though! Drasko
Oh well... there goes a chance to redeem the aesthetic value of your steam fleet! EDIT: Truth in advertising... Ever since a family trip to Arizona in 1979, AT&SF in the desert has always been my secret railroad crush. Kinda like @Ed Kapuscinski and FEC. That my first train set was a Bachmann Crapmaster Santa Fe war bonnet freight set sealed the deal.
If Pennsy were a man, I would do it with him.
If Josh were a man I would...er...no.
I can't admit i have a secret crush on the pennsy or anything Drasko
And lead us not into HO, but deliver us from Kato
Said Dave “Moses” Vollmer who led the exodus from N!
