Magnets???

If say a pinhead could be installed at the ends of some of the piles, and then a magnet installed in the scenery base at the corresponding foundation locations.

Preparing a couple of Brian Fedorov’s cab and chassis’ for Railway Express service. Anyone know of a source for decals for Railway Express trucks?

Maybe GHQ would sell some of their REA decals separately?

Or drill a 1/8 hole in the bottom of select piling, epoxy in a rare earth magnet, drive a trim head screw into the layout, and done!

Is it just the angle or do the rain things above the doors look off center?
Also...I don't know if I ever saw a B70 with an arch roof.

I'm curious to see if anyone else has pics of one.

@chicken45, My post does not claim it to be a B70, now does it.

The picture is merely there to show an arched roof on an MT 70' baggage car.

And yes the drip rails are off by 1mm and is already corrected in the Shapeways design- that is a test first printing for fitment to the car where i discovered same.

That’s a cop out ;P
You led us down the B70 path by saying that you have to add your doors, which you made for this model to make it look like a B70.
“Here we have a 70 foot PRR baggage car that I still have to add B70 style doors for that I had made specifically for this mode to make it look more like a B70, but despite the PRR only having one class of 70 foot baggage cars, this is not a B70 nor should you be led to believe this is one, despite evidence to the contrary.”

You can see how my conclusion is not far fetched.

But now I understand that this was just to show off the roof on the car and you weren’t making a B70, but I don’t think you did yourself any favors by using a misaligned print and not saying it was fixed.
I’m not trying to be an a$$ (but it comes naturally to me).

Yes, I will check with GHQ and also Sylvan Scale Models for the decals that come with their Railway Express truck.

I am pretty sure that all B70s had clerestory roofs.

B70s appear to all be clerestory roof but B70as did have arched roofs (along with end doors)...

Yeah, but those were theatrical scenery cars.
I found a nutso picture of one that had both styles of doors on the same side of the car!

Two more...  Looking for the look of that high-country loneliness that so characterized the RGS.  Yes, there were sheer rock cliffs and tall trestles, but alpine meadows were more typical of the RGS:

My trip on the Cumbress and Toltec looked almost like that .. except you need a clean ballast bed

Seriously...  LOL, @John

The RGS didn't use ballast.  Modern-day C&TS resembles the old RGS about as much as Norfolk Southern does.
