This one is for @peteski ...Earlier this year I was sent to a test center in the city of Poznan in Poland where they were conducting fatigue testing on new passenger car truck frames. During some of the down time, we were able to explore the city a bit. Here is a sample of the fleet of streetcars which are all over the city.I was amazed at the constant balance of ancient and modern throughout the city, which also extended into the test facility. Next to the giant computer controlled test stand, I swear I saw a multi-meter with nixie tube display! The food was amazing, the people were friendly, and the architecture throughout the city was spectacular. I cant wait to get back to Poland (though hopefully it will be in the summer next time, not February...)
CSX changed their locals schedule to run Sunday-Thursday, so I was able to catch D795 leaving Gettysburg, PA Sunday morning. Found out on Wednesday, the Sunday-Thursday schedule has already been returned to Monday-Friday.
