Wanting details on new Kato FP7A set

Tell us about the winterization hatches on the A and B unit.

Are they a separate piece or are the molded into the shell?

Molded. I remember someone mentioning seeing the prototype at one of the shows Kato has attended this year.

Molded. I remember someone mentioning seeing the prototype at one of the shows Kato has attended this year.

I hit send before I finished, but that person mentioned the fact that they were molded and not separate.

As for mold lines on the nose, I can't see any on the curves but very fine ones on either side of the headlight panel. So this is a whole new die from the F's.

Yes it is, as the number boards are a separate piece now.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised.  :D A very nice departure from my other Kato bulldogs. 8)
