Added new trees.....13 from the pine on the right to the end of the photo on the left in only 8” linear space. A scene drinks up trees pretty quickly. I’ve made 80 of these. I will probably make 1000 of these by the time I finish the scenery. I’ve made 50 pines. I figure I’ll need a few hundred of these as well.

Ugh. Trees....

What are you using for those? I hate to make life even more difficult, but I think they could use some supertree "bits" added to them to bulk up their branch structure a bit. That'll give each one more heft and may mean you need to make less of them.

What Ed said, although looking at the background, I think you need more evergreen trees and less deciduous trees.

Then the real cheat would be to go with more evergreen trees but placed less densely, allowing you to see through.  Less dense = less trees = Win!

OK, now that you've gotten this far and it looks terrific. 
I want to go back to those rock formations.
There is something about them that looks like cast plaster resting on forest floor.

Blending them with Sculptamold or spackle should make them more natural.

They did stick out, and I added foam as per the photos on page 10. They look much better, may could be more so, but the scene is complete and I won’t be revisiting it....too much more to do.

this is what I use for trees....it’s quite common around here...



I bunch a few branches together, wrap with floral tape....



Some of the tips make suitable trees on their own...

Getting started on weathering....this one is pretty basic: multiple application of white acrylic wash for a fade, then multiple black wash to bring out the details




Sanded away some lettering first, then did the same to this one, then dabbed on a little dark rust along the bottom
