Nice progress.  The backdrop looks great, but the sudden transition from sky to board is a bit jarring.  Do you plan to extend the sky, or maybe paint the board a matching blue?

I like it, although I feel like the backdrop is awfully "flat" for that part of the world.
But then again, I'm often surprised by how "flat" the area around the tracks is, even in mountainous areas.

now that you mention it, I suppose it does. my normal viewing angle is looking right at it, if not looking slightly up at it. the photo is taken from a greater distance looking downward, so its a different perspective. it does the trick tho, when switching the tipple focus is on the train, so the brain registers "trees" instead of "trainroom wall"

Oh yeah, definitely. And it's a BEAUTIFUL background for that. You need to let Dave Foxx know about it, it's perfect for his layout too.

I finally completed the bench work for the continuous run connection. Staging yard will have to wait, can’t get the turnouts I need....
