Milwaukee Road GP20 #979 in N-Scale Build Thread

Parts are still trickling in still, but I have enough to get a start going. A beacon light has been the only sticking point, I can't seem to find the Deluxe or Atlas part. Miniatures by Eric has some cast ones, but Canadian shipping for tiny parts is something I need to look into. Details N Scale has a working one for $10, but the electronics will never be used plus costly for multiples. Decisions!

Try Detail Associates 8222, it has all 3 types of beacons and based on the proto pics it looks like you need a Western Cullen. Link below:

Would an Atlas GP26 cab [split windshield] work thus saving the need to do the windshield inserts?

The SD26 cab is the easiest route. Maybe with the new run from Atlas the parts will be available again.

Mid swing on progress, slowly but surely, it's starting to look like something! The putty on the nose is still setting, but I wanted to take a progress shot. Clean up will be coming shortly.
