One bottle of Liquid Gravity is 240mg, or a little over 8 oz. A guesstimate is the bottle holds 100ml. Very roughly, nested spheres would be .75 the volume of a solid, so .75 * 100ml = 75 cubic centimeters. 240mg / 75 cm3 = 3.2 mg per cm3.Steel is ~8 mg per cm3, tungsten ~17. So either my math is crap or my estimate of bottle size is off since the calculated density is half of what steel would be.I was hoping for tungsten, but if it were there'd be a lot of emphasis on it in the video (and it would probably be much more expensive). I think I'll stick with Pinewood Derby weights.
Well, the math is off because as odd as it sounds, the volume of a sphere is only slightly more than half that of a cube of an equivalent diameter/side (.524) ...
I bought mine on ebay about 6 months ago. I think just about anything is heavier, but this is convenient in certain places. Some poured into the cap:And the rusty look inside the bottle:
Has anybody used any of Deluxe Materials products MTS just listed on their site ?
