Randy, if you PM your e-mail address, I'll send you the original sized file with Thomas on the Hickory.  I can also send you the Daylight and Super Chief too.

No, I like Thomas, especially the Ringo days but there's nothing wrong with presenting the other end of the spectrum.  And if that means not wanting to run a Thomas train on your layout, that's okay, it's not hurting the hobby in any way.

Jason

Yes, I agree. If it is your layout then yes.

But if it is modular club's layout in a public setting (where non-model-railroaders are in attendance with kids), I think that what is running on the layout should not be questioned.  I run Thomas on my club's NTRAK layout during such shows, and I also run American, European, and Japanese prototype trains. So do other members. If some club member told me not to, I would tell them to take a hike.  If the club adopted a rule that only prototypical American trains are allowed, I would leave the club.  Simple enough.

Perhaps he could have just talked to someone else in the club then.

Personally I think it's a bit audacious to bring something to a show without a prior invitation and expect to be able to run.  You can ask, and if the answer is no, you should be okay with that regardless of the reasoning.

You know Jason, you are absolutely right. How stupid of me!  What was I thinking?!
I also have a whole new view about you. It is sort of what I mentioned earlier.  It is a free country though  - nobody can stop me from thinking.
