Modern box cars in 1974

With my library still packed up, I gotta ask a question I know I could eventually answer myself - which of the currently available Railbox-style outside braced modern box cars would have been on the rails in 1974? Paint jobs not withstanding, as those are easy to replace...

The PS  5277 waffle side cars that Exactrail makes were built in and around '74. Of course you're limited on road names with these.

Yes, they showed up around 1972

Also the Atlas Trainman 50'6" boxcar and the Intermountain PS 5277 date from 1974.

OK, Athearn Berwick has a funny end on it and the ExactRail has what presents as the late end, except it says early. Which one, if either, is the early car?

Athearn is the only company that makes a Berwick car in N... Its not a great representation but the best we have.

The Exactrail car is an Evans/SIECO car with non terminating ends, Athearn makes an Evans/SIECO boxcar with terminating ends...

The Athearn Car dates to at least 1973
The Exactrail car is later earliest ones I can find are ~1977-1978

The answer depends on what could be construed to be a "Railbox-style outside braced modern box car"....

If X-post construction is the only criteria, PRR's X58's (ESM) would be an easy answer:

However, they do have several features that make them "un-Railbox-like", including, but not limited to insulation, loading devices, sliding sill underframes, etc that differentiated them from the "no frills" RBOX cars.  Externally, the X58 also looked different from any given RBOX car, given they had plug doors rather than sliding doors, Dreadnaught ends vs non-terminating ends, high-mounted handbrakes, etc.

Someone else mentioned the ACF Precision Design X-post car.   Although these did have sliding doors and could be built without any "extras" such as sliding sill underframes (e.g. PC's X71) one could argue that the lack of non-terminating ends also rules them out as a "Railbox-style" box.

Even if one strictly looks at cars that were owned by Railbox, this includes different builders, different sizes (5077 cuft Plate B vs. 5277 cuft Plate C), ABOX, TBOX, etc.
