Double Respect?
« on: August 20, 2017, 01:33:31 PM »
For some reason I was to cast two up-votes on a post.  I clicked on the up arrow once but it didn't seem to do anything. I clicked again and then suddenly +2 appeared along with the arrow changing to green.  I can click on the down-vote and it changes the count from +2 to +1 but that is as far as it goes. When I hit up-arrow it goes back to +2.

I tried to up and down-vote another post in that thread but there things work as expected - I can only go between -1, 0, and+1.  I don't mind giving 2 up-votes on that post - I just wanted to mention that there seems to be a software bug/glitch in there.

Most likely scenario is that someone else upvoted at the same time you did.

That makes sense - for some reason I thought that the vote count next to the arrows was mine alone (not the total count on that post).  I just woke up . . .

You worry about Upvotes too much  ;)

My anal personality makes me a fastidious modeler - I like the way I am. I pay attention to the small stuff.  8)

But as far as the voting goes, I wasn't worried - it was more of a curiosity.

Now that this vote thing has been here awhile what tangible benefit has it brought the members?  I have seen lots of angst and complaints and long discussions.
