Added a new member to the fleet this weekend thanks to the wonderful show @nscaleweekend put on in Altoona. It was a great show and I was happy I could attend. Was also a great place to meet a few other railwire members as well. Visiting the show gave me some great ideas and I cannot wait to get started on some new projects.

Almost forgot to post the pictures of a kitbashed Atlantic one of the vendors brought to show me. Before I even got the chance, he said "not for sale."

The upside down photos seem to show that it was bashed from an old Rivarossi model (sold either by Atlas or Con-Cor).

He told me it started as a Black River Models E6, so that would be why (I believe they used Rivarossi components). Maybe "kitbashed" was the wrong word, with "detailed" being the correct term.

Pedantic is a favorite word of a few core members here.

'Trivial' being the operative word here.   :D

Oddly enough, the first picture I posted stayed upright. The second two flipped. Then I flipped them on my phone and re-uploaded them and they posted right side up... All pictures are from the same iPhone.

I've seen this many times and it seems to be some sort of iPhone oddity.  He probably views them on the same phone that took the photos. I have not looked at the JPG data structure, but there probably is the way the bits are stored for the bitmap inside the file, and also maybe a embedded tag which indicates orientation. Maybe iPhone uses one method and PCs use another?

Technically, I uploaded the pictures after I rotated them on my phone with the built in editor, trying to make them appear right side up, so the image is correctly oriented for how it appears on my phone. Basically, I tried to fix them posting upside-down by turning the image upside down, which just made them post the correct way, which for this scenario, is upside-down.

Hey Christian,
Nice line up! Glad to see someone else likes the "Red Boxes"  :)
Granted, what's in my "Red Boxes" is a bit different than what's in yours.
That J1 was a really nice runner, glad I caught it "in motion"  :)

Late to the party as usual, but I guess its better than not showing up at all.

Started building structures for the rural country side of my layout and decided to start with a car lot in honor of my grandfather.  He was a car salesman for 20+ years so I thought I would build one in his memory.

Still have a lot of details to add but this is what I have as of today.

Here are a few shots. Let me know what you guys think.

As always thanks for looking!

Thank you. It was nice to meet you over the weekend and hope to meet with you again next year. Forgot to run the S1 due to my excitement over the J1.

Ah the joy of new floor pans. If your replacing the master cylinder , don't lose the two spacers in between the firewall !

You don't replace the floor pans... you go out and steal some "No Parking" signs... everyone who owned a beetle back in the day knows this.  It's the only authentic way to make the repair...  They look for that at car shows, I believe.
