2 week anniversary of owning a Beetle
Finally completed my fleet of BC Rail Budd RDC's for my N-Scale Chetwynd Sub. These units normally ran between North Vancouver and Prince George, BC. Until passenger service was cancelled on the BCR in the early 2000's, they could also be seen on occasional excursion service. The West Coast Railway Association in Squamish, BC chartered them every fall which saw them run on the entire system from North Vancouver to end of track in Fort Nelson and return, approximately 970 miles one-way. They will occasionally show up on my layout in the same capacity. The shells are Shapeways mounted on Kato chassis. The printing of two of the shells was very rough and required many hours of sanding and filing to get them to an acceptable stage.Doug
