I believe these particular B&O/Chessie cars were for grain. I'll be getting some. The new roof and end details drastically improve these cars.

Looks like an expensive buy for me, considering I need covered hoppers galore, just wondering if the CSX/NS/BNSF ones would be appropriate plying Conrail's rails in Ohio,Phil
The price of Precision Masters and/or Red Caboose covered hoppers that don't have these upgrades should drop as a result...

If you go to the FVM website - Our Products - N Scale and then click on the car you are looking for you can get larger images.
I wish they'd remove the extra bracing on the 4740's and 4750's...

I would think you could snip them off without affecting the coupler adapter.Jason
