A standard height Evergreen 40' container.  Why has it taken so long?

Why are we getting shortened and rebuilt 40 ft well cars when we still don't have any 53-foot Wells?

I believe FVM plans on doing some 53' ers. I think it's good that the manufacturers aren't duplicating each other's efforts. I think we'll get some 53' variety in the next year or two. I just think back to the lack of 53' containers only 2 years ago... now we have all kinds of variety, some even monthly from Micro-Trains. The containers are there so the demand is building.
