Hopefully for the Pennsy modelers, it will be priced to encourage multiple acquisitions.
Has anyone politely asked Kato about possible future roadnames on the FP7?
That's a Pennsy G38 ore car from Bachmann, and item #18655, the black PRR scheme, appears to be accurate. Hopefully for the Pennsy modelers, it will be priced to encourage multiple acquisitions.
You mean like 3 for $100-? Glad I'm not in need of that car.
----> <----Bachmann is Bachmann is Bachmann etc The one that irks me is the queen of sitting on tooling (WKW) - they have relocated* the following tooling to a sealed time capsule in old salt mine in Kansas:EMD BL2 EMD GP18 EMD E7 A&BEMD E6 EMD SW9/1200 EMD SW8/900/600 Alco FA1 A&BAlco FA2 A&BAlco PA1 A&BAlco RS2 Alco C424 Ph 2 FM C-Liner A&BLima 2-8-4 (NKP version) USRA 0-8-0 USRA 2-8-8-2 (N&W Y3) Passenger Cars (All)* pure conjecture I am "sure" that they have plans to re-run these at some point. I am skeptical though since every time I ask about a specific one the response is "we have no plans at this time".On the positive side, I really like the N scale structures. <--- (I am serious about this)Mark
And the Bach Man brings us an SD9 ... and an N scale version of their ore car + a Re-run of the bobber.
Hasn't Bachmann just had really high MSRPs in recent years and the street price is a higher % off than other manufacturers? Or maybe they have sales where the price is much lower?
Well, MSRP aside, at least the ore car is interesting and all new tooling of a car we never had before. Anyone here know what its prototype is? Looks like a shorter version of a 30', 100-ton Gunderson gon?Otto K.
So I sort of understand why we aren't seeing these models again - the mechanisms have seen better days, and if they re-ran them, most of us would complain about how outdated they are!John C.
It's a Pennsy G38. They're one of the two big classes PRR Ore Car, hence one of the big classes of Conrail ore car.http://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/ConrailEquipment/FreightCars/OreJennies
