With the large amount of northeast and ATSF modelers on here, I'm really surprised by the "meh" on the GP39-2.
No, no,no! They haven't used Rapidos for a while now. All they new models now come equipped with the lovely "boxing glove" knuckle coupler. The bigger it is the better it couples.
Somebody needs to let the graphics designwe at Bachmann know..
What I want to know is this model going to have the correct size fuel tank or the same, oversized fuel tank that plagues every Atlas GP38 model to date. I mean, if Atlas isn't going to deliver a model with the correct sized fuel tank, then maybe change the artwork to reflect that??

Not every GP38 has the smaller fuel tank, the BN units all had the larger tanks. So the tank is correct for BN units and Frisco ones. The ones BN purchased that were returned by Conrail need the short tanks, which is unfortunate being Atlas has only done those units.
