Nope - this should be in prototype discussion section - it is about photos of prototype cars.

Once the question is posted there, a bell goes "DIING!" and all the prototype experts wake up and offer helpful advice. Sometimes to excess.  :D

There's a photo of one in Hiawatha colors in
Milw Color Guide freight and passenger equip vol 1.
page 28 at the bottom.

And another in the old yucky plain scheme on page 49 at the top.

If memory serves me right, the ancient Rivarossi 12-1 was an exact match to the Milwaukee's floor/ window plan. I have several. I have many 12-1 MT cars in other schemes as well but the stuff is buried right now so I can't make the comparison.

The Milwaukee cars were somewhat unique.

Hate to say it, especially since you have asked (thank you for that!) but there were only two that became MILW, Pewaukee and Watertown, which were Plan 3410B cars (a fair match to the Rivarossi's sleeper).  Both are listed as being painted in "CM&StP Std." paint (will need to ask Tom Madden, the Master of the Pullman Car Construction Records site, what that means) and both were on the roster for roughly only a month before they were retired and reassigned to Maintenance of Way service or sold for scrap, which was the fate of most of the Pullmans the MILW acquired (including the Plan 3950 Silver-series observation cars* that were very similar to MT's model).  Wouldn't be surprised if MILW only acquired them for their trucks so the ones under their baggage could be replaced with something better.

* - One observation car, Silver Beach, was repainted in 1948 in the "then new" orange carbody, maroon letterboard and window section... the only Silver-series observation car that received the newer paint, reassigned to MofW service early 1949.

She wasn't snarky enough - I had to replace her. But she might make a comeback someday (or another beautiful face - no, not mine).  :D

No, it's actually "Prepay in advance", as opposed to prepaying after the fact
The girl didn't do much for me, but I don't get this, either. Maybe Pete can 'splain himself?

PS: Never mind, he just did :D

That prepay sign is for real. I find it humorous because it is redundant.  Just like "revert back". I guess having to deal with Indian tech support people makes these types of statements really funny and silly for me.  Now if we all could just urgently do the needful.   :)

Milwaukee custom was to have 5-6 sets of cars for the transcontinental trains ( Olympian Hiawatha and the Columbian) so I think its possible that 12 heavyweight obs cars were painted in short lived Milwaukee colors.

Silver Plume,  Mt Breckenridge, "Crystal series cars etc...

The transition time to the Hiawatha trains was an interesting period. The Columbian always had heavyweight obs cars though. I think the 10sec lounge obs cars stayed until the end of the Columbian.
