Would the #6 turnouts fit instead of the #4's?

Are we using the 20-041 feeder track section or the 24-818 terminal UniJoiners for the power connections?

Another suggestion would be to replace the 20-010 track piece on the outer siding with the combination of a 20-021 road crossing/rerailer plus a 20-040, and similarly to replace the adjacent 20-000 track piece on the inner siding with a 20-021 plus a 20-020.

That's entirely up to Mr. Foxx (or anyone else interested in the plan).

For those following along at home, this is (more or less) what's being suggested. Note that I also added an optional double-track bridge.

I doubt that I'll add the road crossing pieces, because I can easily fab something up for a road crossing at a fraction of the price.  Plus, it will look better.  I did add the double-track plate girder bridge, as DKS suggested yesterday.

I have found that the small track pieces, e.g., 20070 and 20071, don't seem to be in stock anywhere, but no biggie.  A quick search on YouTube found a great video on how to cut Kato Unitrack to create custom length pieces.  I should have sufficient extra pieces of track for the custom track pieces.

Dave, before you go and buy everything you need, I've got a p!sspot full of leftover track I'd love to unload. Let me do a quick inventory.

The suggestion to add the 20-021 pieces was mainly for their function as rerailers.

Kato USA imports the 20-091 'Short Track Assortment', which includes two pieces of the 20-070 and eight pieces of the 20-071.

10-4.  FYI, for the record I have a loop of track that consists of eight (8) of the #20110 pieces (curve radius 11.1", angle 45ยบ) and four (4) of the #20000 pieces (straight 9.76").

OK, so I tweaked the plan just a bit to consolidate a bunch of the little pieces that weren't necessary.

Then I did an inventory. Here's how it came out--the numbers in parentheses are what I have on hand.

20000   5 (2)
20010   1 (0)
20020   2 (2)
20030   2 (2)
20040   2 (2)
20070   6 (6)
20071   2 (2)
20100   17 (5)
20101   2 (2)
20110   5 (5)
20111   1 (1)
20121   1 (1)
20160   1 (1)
20220   1 (0)
20221   1 (0)
20453   1 (0)
20458   1 (0)

I'd be very pleased to offer them to you--just let me know.

DKS,

I will take all of those pieces off of your hands.  Shoot me a PM with a price and a PayPal address (or I can mail you a check).
