Injection molded M1 Abrams Tank by MTL

Howdy...there's been some confusion  about our loads in the discussion about our upcoming DODX Flatcar project elsewhere.  The Tanks will be injection molded and at this point can't commit to them being press fit or glue together...but they will be styrene and production molded.  At some point I assume these will be offered in package form.  Thanks...so far orders are doing well...order lots and often.

I am in the same boat, so to speak (1955/56 in my case).  Hoping maybe Joe will someday bring out those LVT-4s that he RP'ed (as posted on another thread). 

Photos I can find of USAX (Army) flatcars look like any other 40 to 60 foot flatcar, and somebody must make an N scale M-48, but if MT wants to take that on as an item, I would be all in favor.

[Klein has this wrongly cataloged as HO. It's actually 1/160  --  trust me, I bought several of them. Very detailed, decorated resin product.]

LOL, yeah, bit of sticker shock here, too.  In my HO days 50 years ago, my $1 flatcar had a Minitanks M-48 on it that cost fifty cents (might have even picked up some for a quarter).  But the Artitec do look like nice models.  And I can think of several companies that charge a lot more than $23 for comparable models. 

I need to put off any more thought about rolling stock acquisition until I have a layout to run stuff on.

Artitec also released the M48 as kits (pn 1160015 & pn 1160016), but I have not seen them for sale in North America.

M1 I think had a 105mm gun.

M1A1 jumped to 120mm gun.

Definitely not M1A2.  It is missing the secondary targeting assembly on top for the 120mm gun.

if this does well and by our accounting it seems to be, then I can make the case for more of them.  I've wanted to do some sort of truck we can use across multiple platforms...like a modern-ish Mack with different chassis.  We are getting more and more into TOFC and it makes sense to have accessories.

The external difference between an M1 and M1A1 isn't that bad. But that CITV would completely RUIN my layout... lol.
