I think some of those flats went to AMTK for concrete tie transport on the NEC....

I want this flat and the M48s:

Me too. I'd also like the SD45 behind it too...

Yea, well, and then there's that. My GN and NP SD45 fleet is woefully lacking. Hello, Atlas?!

No. Hoping for a company that has a more robust release schedule to take up the mantle.

Anybody know anything about the trucks on the 4-axle flats? MTL calls them "DODX Barber Roller Bearing Trucks", so does that mean they're different from their previous 70-ton and 100-ton Barber S-2 trucks?

Thanks,
-Mark

Thanks, but do you know if they're based on a special DODX prototype or are they just S-2's that have been retooled to work with the new flats?

Yes, the Buckeye trucks on the 6-axle flats are definitely based on a different prototype than the previous MTL Buckeye (they have roller bearings for starters). But I was asking about the Barber trucks on the 4-axle cars -

They do look quite similar to MTL's previous Barber S-2 trucks (70T and 100T), but if the new ones are modeled after a different prototype there may be some small difference(s) that I'm missing -

Must be some sort of government secret. I sent an email inquiry directly to MTL last week and they didn't respond either
