Got my 2 crew speeders today , I think they are the first , now deleted ones . They are doing the back stroke in Bestine . I guess I will put it together tomorrow ,,,,, during a commercial LOL . This is the very first time I will be doing a RP . Thanks Chris .

By the way Chris , you could disguise that motor cover on yours if you detail it up to make it like a coffin , a little brown paint and some brass wire grabs is all that's needed , lol . Hell , you could make an industry with that theme out in the woods . It wood be more cost effective to have the mill in the forest and ship the box to the city I think .

BTW there are like 10 coats of Micro Sol on the decal...  :|

That is so cool! 8)  Could you tell us what paint color and type was used?

wow already  :o I hope they came out OK.

I need to find a nice group of figures to hide the motor cover. It sorta looks like a center longways mounted seat, sorta.

Holy cow , is that the same scene that used to be green as a string bean ? If so this is a world of difference for the better ,

It was never a green zone, a year ago it was still pretty pink. Maybe you are remembering one of my other scenes? [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Shapeways is in Long Island City , Queens . I am about as far away from it and still be in Queens , Rosedale . They look plenty strong enough , just some flash sticking proud of the radiator case edge . I will take some gnats eye view shots tomorrow and post them .

My weekend is a little later than most people's, so my progress pics are late too. 2 different uses for the same Showcase Miniatures kit. You can see the radio tower behind the Skally HQ and the new fall protection system over the flour cars.

Great scene Karl!

Can you explain a little about the operations in this spot of the layout?

I think the Skally Line needs a thread in the Layout Engineering Report section @jpwisc  :D

It's one of the best ones here!

Did you make or modify the air reservoir on that lead loco? All N scale GEs on the market today leave a lot to be desired with this detail feature.

I will start a LER tomorrow, and I will make sure to include an operations explanation for not only Rush City, but the whole line!

That is my AC44C4M, I combined parts of a Kato C44-9W with a FVM ES44. The air tanks are FVM, I think the weathering makes them stand out a little more than normal.

Chris, is there a reason you wouldn't use a dry transfer since it's just a single number?  I have read about difficulties using decals over flat paints and it seems like what you're experiencing with this. :|  This is not an area where I am experienced, hence the question.

I gloss coated the model before decaling. Dullcote after. I don't think I've ever got a dry transfer on straight in my life.
