PE Hollywood Trolley , Powered Nn3 Climax , and a 61 Chev pickup coming

Next is our Nn3 scale 26 Ton Climax Locomotive kit.  Like our other locomotive kits, this one is designed to operate using the Searails PowerMax! power truck (must be purchased separately).  It features pewter castings, extensive brass photo-etched parts, pre-assembled Microtrains couplers, 3d printed front truck and Fox Valley wheels (for the front truck).  It is N Scale Narrow Gauge and is designed to operate on Z Scale track.  Many optional parts are included to allow you to build this kit in various configurations.

It's a neat little trolley model -
But it looks out of scale to me.
Anyone have a prototype photo?

I don't think you have to worry about dimensions since the writeup states:

First is our Pacific Electric Hollywood Car shell kit.  This one was loosely modeled after the actual prototype and got its inspiration from a 1988 film of a framed rabbit.. ;).  This shell kit is designed to fit the Kato power units 11-105, 11-106 or 11-107 (not included).  It features lead-free pewter castings, photo-etched stainless steel and brass parts, a cast resin roof, pre-cut window glazing and Microscale decals (decals in the photos are preliminary and not from Microscale).  Fully illustrated instructions for assembly and painting make this one a pretty simple build.  A lighting kit with instructions is also available separately on our website.

The streetcars in that movie about the framed rabbit (one of my favorites - it makes me laugh....)  were in fact buses in disguise!   So they've deviated from their inspiration a bit.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I think that where the "loosely based" covers that part.  Now if someone would make a shell which fits the Tomytec powered bus . . .

Delighted to see the Climax at long last  -will need parts from that for my museum train Climax.

Also pleased to see the 1961 pick-up; fill fit nicely on my 1977 layout.

"Loosely based"? Not on the Hollywood cars, maybe on the PE 100 class.
I guess it depends on one's definition of "loose"?   :P

You just know that Chevy will show up as an oil truck, wrecker, hi-rail or fire truck in the near future. A great model that fills a big hole in the product line.

I would love to see these available as multi packs in resin too. May've not as detailed, but they would be light and cheap enough to fill an open auto rack.

It seems to me that the goal was to make it look similar to one of those cars but make it fit the Kato critter. "Loosely based" to me seems to be quite accurate.

But if you paint and decal it for your fantasy road it becomes spot on . Oddly it just may pull as well as a Pacific . A boxcab of sorts that pulls well might be a better seller .
