I already have the hoppers and the trailer. Pretty well done.  Better than the special run B&MHSS did years ago. NSE says that the trailer is prototypical but I have no clue. But it looks cool!

Can't find any fruehaufs but Viva foods did have trailers in that scheme.

NICE!  Thanks for finding these!  Too bad that MTL did not decorate the front (and probably the back) of those trailers.

Hmm... that's what's known
as positive reinforcement...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
"It works! It works!"

Wow!  I really don't know what happened.  I have no explanation other than my head up my a$$ or a major senior-moment!

But I also found this photo:

Done in the days before computer-printed vinyl lettering.  Every truck was unique.
Looks like I'll be decaling my own trailers to have end decorations.

Nice! Love that shot...
If you're going to decal the end it wouldn't be to hard to scratch build a roll up door and repaint the end.
Worth considering I think.  :)

Edit: In fact the center trailer has been modified in this way. Notice the barn door latches remain between the clearance lights above the door. A prototype kitbash...  :D

While true (and I agree) that this would be a cool thing to model, I think those rear ends look like box-trucks ends not trailers. I don't recall seeing trailers with roll up doors except maybe UPS trailers (but I'm no authority on that). So, until when and and if I build a box-truck I'll just use that photo as an example of what would probably be on the rear of the trailers.

Bet part of you knew I'd have pictures...  ;)

First notice the 40' and 48' markings on the trailers in you're photo, they are most definitely semi trailers...

Also Roll up doors are very common in the Food and Beverage industries due to the large amount of local delivery. (Also common with LTL carriers for the same reason)

Not Vita Foods but same idea...  :D

You're right - I now recall Sysco trailers with roll up doors too.  Looks like I have to put yet another project on my schedule. I need to somehow extend my life to finish them all.   :D

I think the Athearn trailer has a roll-up door variation, which I want to procure at some point.

I'm going to pass, but the Prince trailers are cool.  Brings back childhood memories.   Annnnnn-thonyyyyyy!  8)
