Hi all…

In advance of this weekend's Railway Modellers Meet of BC, I have been hurriedly tidying up back projects.  One of those projects was to properly edit, annotate and narrate a series of 5 videos I posted last year explaining how the C&W's Kraft Switcher goes about its job.  The Kraft Switcher is the most challenging  job on the C&W and anyone can bid on it.  With a guest op session this Friday I thought it time to post these vids as a detailed primer for the visitors as it covers not only the Switcher - in great gory detail - but also introduces and explains the role of  a number of other trains the guests can bid on.

For any of you out there who will be joining us for the Meet, see you on Friday!  For everyone else, who has the patience, here the videos are...I hope they bring you a bit of enjoyment.

Now that I've watched the first 4 and was ready to view number 5 when I got home tonight you go and put them all in one place.  :D

Mark, these are an excellent resource for those of us designing operations on a layout. I gleaned so many ideas from seeing how the trains on the Boundary Sub interact through Castlegar that I need a notebook to list what I learned. Having a paper mill, I was also able to get useful ideas, even before you narrated, about mill operations, but your insights and commentary deserve an Emmy Award or whatever the model railroading community offers up for video excellence. You could probably get Trainmasters on that other forum at MRH to use this material.

Well done again, sir. Wish Vancouver was closer to Washington, DC. Not all of us NOVA residents can pull a rocket scientist like Gary and get a job out there.  :)

Ditto. Exemplary work, certain to be a big help to your prospective crew members. And an awful lot of fun for the rest of us!
