Heh, before starting work today, I roughed out a cart path to see how this would fit.  Sure, I’d like more room, and the cart path is a little tight to the track.  But, that’s okay; I’m only trying to fill this space at the aisle with something prototypical for Southern Pines, North Carolina.   I only need to imply the golf course.  As expected, I’ll just get the corner of the green and the right front sand trap.  Pin placement may not be ideal.  ;)

add a couple of small pines between the path and the road -- and a no trespassing sign next to the cart path by the ROW -- also one of those trash cans :) where the cart parks and a ball washer to complete the scene :)

And add some golf balls to the ballast....  ;)

I’m kinda mad at myself for not thinking about that; you’ve also got Pinehurst along the Aberdeen, Carolina, and Western there too. I don’t know if I’d butt the cart path that close to the tracks, but it’ll probably still look the part regardless so carry on!

This reminds me, I need to figure out how to scratch hold that disc golf basket for my layout…

Now that’s funny. I like it.

Yeah, the cart path is too close to the tracks, but once it’s “planted” in the grass and painted a concrete color, I’m hoping it won’t be as apparent.  I need to give as much space as I can to the green and bunker to really set the scene.

Be sure to add white stakes along the ROW, marking out of bounds

Then I’ll lose a ball and have to take a penalty.   ;)  Seriously, I like that detail.

Thanks,

Could put a group of golfers gathered around a ball on the line.  They're arguing whether it's in or out 🤣

I guess why have the path at all? Why not just bunker and edge of the green?

Too late!  I like the cart path.  I did narrow it again, though, which I thinks makes a difference.   The cart path helps set the scene, and it exists on the real golf hole.

This afternoon, there was a little terraforming to rough in the bunker, the green, and to plant the cart path.

Obviously I don't know the scene or the area and admittedly didn't look at any of the links, but is there not a chain link fence or something to prohibit trespassing on the ROW?

I have a golf cart ready to print :) ... and a special golfer figure for you to add to the scene  :D
