About the Bullfrogs I use them because they are the cheapest store bought way I know to trow turnouts. I don't want to pay $25 just to throw a $1.50 (in my case since hand laid) turnout.

Well, that certainly makes sense... are they similar to the "Tortoise" switch machines?

Yeah, what @Chris333 said.  They are similar in function as an under-the-table throw, but are manually thrown, e.g., push-pull knob in the fascia, rather than powered.

A single Bullfrog is $7.00.  And FWIW if you don't need to curve the control rod you can just use a straightened coat hangar.

Well, here's a test run of using TRW's gallery until I figure out the best way to deal with the Photobucket fiasco.  I'm afraid of using TRW's gallery solely, because I tend to post a lot of photos and don't want to cause problems for :tommann:.  This photo was downloaded from Photobucket with my entire album of approximately 1,100 pictures to my phone and uploaded to TRW.  My way of telling Photobucket to go f*** itself.

I'm pleased at the Photobucket fiasco.  Photobucket and other photo upload sites are blocked at my work, so I don't get to see anything while surfing.  I have to wait to go home, and by then I have no desire to turn the PC on and see what I missed!

Working on more trackwork this weekend.  I'm doing my darnedest to get a golden spike installed this weekend, which will mean that I'll have connected the roundy-round, so I can sit back, drink a beer, and watch a train without a hand on the throttle at all times.  I may cheat and try to connect the passing siding before the mainline, because the siding has less turnouts (I'm short two right-hand #5 turnouts until my recent MBK order arrives next week).

As you can see, I have this complicated trackage to get through as I try to complete the track installation on the layout.  I had to butcher four of these turnouts to get the correct track centers on the turnouts for the crossovers.  A close look at the following photo will also find that the cork and track has been installed all of the way around to the north end of Aberdeen at the top right of the picture.

Wish me luck!

Success!  The golden spike ceremony occurred on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 12:20 a.m.  Yeah, I cheated by installing the passing siding first, but it has less turnouts than the mainline.  You see, before I can install a turnout, I have to drill and clear holes through the subroadbed for the future under-the-table Bullfrog throws.  What can I say?  I'm lazy.

Once the glue dries, I'll pull those push pins and run a train on the roundy-round before I call it a night.  :)

Yeah, it does.  But, I've got other things occupying my plate just to get trains running.  But, I'll get back to this task at some point.

As my O scaler friend would say, even if they had double shelf couplers in N scale, no one could see them anyway !  :D

You could if you used the Bachmann N scale boxing glove coupler.
