It saw that other thread today.  Something about running trains on Uranus.  :scared:

Having fun JFRTM over the last several days.  Tonight, it was the Seaboard Central Office Car Special (the “SC OCS”):

Soooooooooo, thinking about the OCS (or the dinner train, whichever you prefer), I became inspired to look into relettering Oscar.  I found these decals, which I think gives me enough to do both sides.  If the president of the SC turned out to be a fan of the Seaboard Coast Line passenger trains, then this would work, because I can use SCL lettering and keep the silver body color.  The roof would get painted black, though.

The “Seaboard Coast Line” conveniently gives me the letters necessary to spell “Seaboard Central.”  If I use the smaller italicized SCL letters to do the road name above the windows, I can also use the even smaller SCL/SAL passenger car lettering from that N scale set to spell “Oscar” under the windows.  Should I cover the Amtrak stripes with red or a blue stripe?  I have trim film in both colors.  Remember, the SC locos are red and blue, but I don’t want to keep the obviously Amtrak Phase II stripes.

IMO, simply paint over (or patch) the Amtrak lettering and add the 'Seaboard Central' name above the windows and 'Oscar' - or maybe just the road number '1' - below the windows.
If the owner of the SC is striving to emulate the SCL, then here's an example:

For a while Amtrak wanted all cars it hauled (including business cars) to match its paint scheme. Given your plan here, I thought you knew!

No, I didn't.  Just lucky, I guess.  So, at some point Amtrak dictated that all business or privately-owned cars have to match Amtrak's livery?  What years?  Clearly, that's Amtrak's Phase II stripes on that SCL car.
