Bouncing back to the Davenports. Since they are in 3D I reversed the pilots and made a paint mask.

At first I thought it was a fail using a spray can on the right, but using and air brush on the left worked great.

I'm going for this look that was used at Carbon Limestone

Chris,
I have been (usually silently) following your layout construction threads for years.  But probably a third or a  half of the posts in your layout construction articles is devoted to your wonderful scratchbuilt locos and rolling stock.

Could I suggest that you use the "Weathering, Detailing, and Scratchbuilding" section, and even create separate threads for each model to document construction of all those little gems which are currently buried in your layout threads?  It would also make it much  easier to find them in the future.

Well then, it would be a wrong fit for this section of TRW!

Just bustin' your you-know-what's Chris.
I do like to get things organized, which make them easy to find (well, except for my workbench).  I guess I'll have to look elsewhere.  ;)  Nothing to see here folks, move along.

I just think not many here are interested in narrow gauge, and those who are might not care about HOn30, and those that do might not care about a paint mask.

Chris,
One of the main reasons I ALWAYS read this thread is because I never know what you are going to be posting next, I just know it is going to be something REALLY cool.  I don't care if its HOn30, narrow gauge, paint masks, scenery, buildings, or what not.  They are all examples of creative modeling and creative modeling solutions.  I am completely in awe of your 3D printing skills and how quickly you turn around these various projects.  Just keep things coming, whatever they may be, and I, at least, will be checking the thread to see what you've done next  :D

Don't listen to @peteski - Rule 1 applies in all cases.  And frankly I agree with @dnhouston - your various threads are a wealth of really cool shiznit.

I mean this with all kindness, but you go a little over board with your suggestions that things should be organized different...

geez!  Ease up!

Perhaps you could heed your own advice... but like I said I mean that in the nicest way possible...

Now back to more random 3d printed critters!  :D

It's not required that TRW members immediately implement any and all suggestions from other members.  Sometimes ya gotta learn to take "no thank you" as an answer.

I don't get this. I made one suggestion, and only one. Not a demand -- a suggestion. I even explained  my reasoning. I also gladly took "no thanks" for the answer.  I immediately got attacked by bunch of people, and now I'm even told that I didn't take a "no" for an answer?  What are you guys smoking?
