Chris,

Is this photo playing tricks with my eyes, or does that bridge have a sag?

:scared: :scared: :scared:  I see it now in the photo as well and ran down to the bat cave to put a 12" straight edge on it. Perfectly straight! Must just be the angle. The bridge has two 3/16" brass rods running through it.

Thank goodness, because it looks awesome.

It might...  I designed and 3D printed several girder bridge sections for a friend and they all warped/sagged a bit.  Luckily, heating them up with a blow dryer, flexing in the opposite direction, then running them under cold water to "set" them, fixed the warp.

In this photo:

The building in the center. The top green cornice is 3D printed. It kept turning into a banana and I kept straightening it under hot water. A few days later it would be bent again. Fixed it like 3 times. So if you look close I solved that by gluing on a thin sheet off brass to the top. Now it can't bend.

Anyone here have the Photoshop skills to turn this into something I can print out?

I think it should say "look out for the cars", but here is another for ideas

Thanks Gary, there is a chance the one I bought will look too large for HOn30.

Making headway.

The center building I just used primer to get it grey, but it kept looking powder blue to me. So I did a bunch of washes to try and make it grey. Then I did the trim in charcoal with a touch of blue. Almost smashed it into a ball and started over.  :|  The small mustard building will be some sort of place to eat so I figured a little color there wouldn't hurt. Still long way to go.

I'll put some corn in the field at the front left.

So out of all the paint I have the most used color by far is Ceramcoat Mudstone. Last time I ran out had to mail order it because all the local stores were out. Now I can't find it anywhere, even online.

Anyone have a lead?  :scared:

You mean this stuff?   :D

This is my last bottle.  It is still nearly full but I hope it's not discontinued.

You're right...  It seems to be very hard to come by, if not completely unavailable.

One link I found listed it and it does NOT show it as "sold out".

Here's the link: https://www.walltowallstencils.com/stencil/f02488/

And this is just a test...

Many years ago I found this photo that was listed as Chagrin Falls & Southern's first narrow gauge loco.

But was told that is incorrect. Their first loco was a strange looking 2-4-0
https://www.chagrinhistorical.org/discover/categories/infrastructure/railroads/pc08234.jpg

This line crossed the Erie half way between where I live and Cleveland and was later standard gauged. BUT I was told that wasn't their loco. Then a few days ago on Facebook someone posted this photo in Middlefield, OH. That is North of me and East of the railroad listed above:

They are both the same locomotive. In the background I see a trolley pole with wire. In Middlefield The B&O (ex narrow gauge) ran through Also the Cleveland and Eastern interurban line ended here. And the Chagrin Falls and Eastern interurban line ended here. The Chagrin Falls and Eastern crossed the Chagrin Falls and Southern. Both interurban lines also had steam locomotives. So I dig out a book on the C&E and find this:

Same loco with boarded up windows. It is listed has a construction train of the C&E.

So no one really knows who owned the locomotive, but I have always wanted a Bowker type locomotive in HOn30. The Athearn/MDC 2-6-0 could be used with the front driver removed, but the drivers are a tad small and too closely spaced. I 3Ded up a body just to see if it looked right.

What do you think? It is wrong. I shrunk it about 10% and the drivers are out of proportion. The motor would go in the tender.
