That's really a nice job, Ed. Is that tiny rectangle alongside the headlight supposed to be a place to put the engine number? Just curious.
Yep. Those are the number boards. I've got a plan for them too: Avery labels and my laser printer.

Hmm. My technique?Clean the model (whoops).Use good brushes.Use good paint.Don't put much paint on your brush. Keep a paper towel handy to bleed off any excess paint before you touch the model.Make many, light, passes with the tip of the brush.
Any specific size brush you used?Phil
Here's a photo of my main go-to brushes.The Royal #6 and #8 are my usuals for doing things that have lots of surface area.The Royal 5/0 has done most of my detail work over the years.The other two are relatively recent additions.
