There are never enough F units.
Does anyone know what that funnel thing is on the roof, ahead of the exhaust fans?
I don't know much about CPR F-units, so I'll just ask whether it's possible that the "funnel thing" is actually something behind the locomotive and not a part of it? DFF
The Railwire is not your personal army.
It's definitely part of the locomotive... As for what it is I'm stumped... Perhaps Jason @rapidotrains can shed some light... The Rapido master class doesn't mention anything about this detail.https://rapidotrains.com/master-class/ho-scale-f7b-f9b-master-class
Well, that picture certainly clears that up. Nice pic!Rapido did include that detail (whatever it is) on the HO model: https://rapidotrains.com/ho-gmd-f7b-f9b
fuel and water tank vents sticking up out of the roof – still only available in Rapido's F-unit models!
Clearly, that funnel is to collect rainwater. DFF
Nice... I think this might be our answer from the Rapido blurb. fuel and water tank vents sticking up out of the roof – still only available in Rapido's F-unit models!
Considering we already have a foot of snow in Central Alberta I find that comment offensive!
